Islington Cycleway

The footpath surrounding Islington Public School is part of the Islington Cycleway – a shared walking and cycle path that makes active travel easy and accessible for our school community. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this safe, connected route by cycling, scooting, or skating to school.

Many families ride together each day, promoting healthy habits and reducing traffic. To support this, parents are welcome to bring their bikes onto school grounds during pick-up and drop-off times, helping to ease congestion at the school gate and create a calm, family-friendly environment.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones

• follow speed signs

• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
