Harmony Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. By participating in Harmony Day activities, we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it.
Islington PS traditionally celebrates Harmony Day and the wonderful diversity of our community with a celebratory feas

t! We call on our community members to prepare a dish that represents your culture or has a special place in your family to share with us all. We encourage all of our community to join us for lunch at 10:30am on Thursday 23rd March, share a meal and participate in Harmony Day activities.
Orange is the official colour of Harmony Day and all children can celebrate by wearing orange clothing instead of school uniform.
Please let the office, Mr Lumley or P&C president Toni Worgan know if you will be able to attend and/or bring a plate. We look forward to seeing you on the day.
